We are a mixed billing practice. We see clients through the following services:
Consultation Fees
Full payment is required for each session at the time of your appointment. Payment is accepted by cash, EFTPOS and credit card.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are available if you have a referral from your GP and they have completed a Mental Health Care Plan for you. The Medicare rebate for a one hour individual counselling session is $85.20. Clients with a mental health care plan are eligible to receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual counselling sessions per calendar year. You need to see your GP to obtain your mental health care plan before your first appointment.
For convenience, Medicare rebates are processed straight after your appointment via Medicare's EasyClaim. Please bring your Medicare card and EFTPOS/Debit cards with you to your appointment.
Private Health
Your Private Health Insurance may cover some counselling services. Please contact your health insurer for further information. Current eligible Private Health Insurance agencies include: HCF, BUPA, Teachers Health Fund, UniHealth Insurance and Nurses and Midwives Health, Doctors Health, St Lukes Health and the Australian Regional Health Group Ancillary Provider). Unfortunately, you cannot claim both a Medicare rebate and a private health rebate for the same service.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency or situation. If this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation. You may call our practice anytime on (07) 5559 1303 and leave a message on our message bank service.
We require 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any fees. This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated appointment time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment. In the event that less than 24 hours’ notice is given to cancel an appointment, or a scheduled appointment is not attended, a cancellation fee may be charged unless there are extenuating circumstances. Please note that Medicare does not cover cancelled appointments.

No Fee
No-show, cancel or reschedule on the same business day with less than 8 hours’ notice
100% of full consultation fee ($200).
